PSEO at Bemidji State University
The Post Secondary Education Opportunities (PSEO) program was implemented by the Minnesota Legislature to give students an opportunity to enhance or enrich the education that they are receiving at their local high school, alternative area learning center, charter school or home school.
The PSEO Advantage
Talented and motivated high school students who are capable of handling on-campus college-level work have the opportunity to challenge themselves with 1000 and 2000 level courses at BSU while completing their high school graduation requirements. Not only will you grow intellectually, you will signal to future schools that you are hard-working and ambitious.
Who Can Apply
PSEO accepts applications from qualified high school juniors and sophomores. View Eligibility for a detailed look at PSEO admissions criteria.
What’s Included
The PSEO program will cover the cost of tuition, fees and books for eligible courses whether you are part-time or full-time. Students enrolled in the PSEO program will be able to take 1000 and 2000 level courses. Students are not allowed to take courses with additional fees that exceed a total of $100. Online courses are limited.
Next Steps
Students who are interested in PSEO should review eligibility requirements, read through the frequently asked questions, and discuss options with parents/guardians and high school counselors. The application should be completed and submitted according to the fall and spring semester deadlines.
